Maurilio Catalano

Maurilio Catalano born in 1942 in Palermo. 

Since 1963, he directs the Gallery and printing house "Arte al Borgo". He has received the Ignazio Buttitta Award 2009. As a Sicilian artist, you can feel the presence of the sea and ocean in his works. His ludic approach gives a dreamy sensation to his artworks which the spectator feels and can dream it as a personal experience especially for the empty spaces that he leaves intentionally in his paintings.
