Rodolphe Piguet

Biography

A pupil of Charles Glardon, Rodolphe Piguet was a painter, in oil and on enamel, as well as an engraver and etcher. First an enamel painter in Geneva, he spent several years in New York at the same time as James Vaucher, whose portrait he painted, as well as members of his family.

According to an article in "The Studio" magazine, he is an illustrator for "The Aldine" and "Daily Graphic" magazines. In 1878, he settled in Paris, then in Lagny, where a street still bears his name. He regularly participates in international exhibitions.
