Ian Hamilton Finlay (1925–2006) was a Scottish poet, writer, artist, and gardener, internationally recognized for his fusion of literature and visual art. His works often explored themes of history, politics, classical antiquity, and nature, combining concise poetic fragments with sculptural and graphic forms.
