Description
This screenprint by Scottish artist Ian Hamilton Finlay combines in his typical style poetry and design, and features phrases with historical or political undertones.
The work is signed and numbered on the reverse - visible through its plexiglass back.
The passage recalls the French Revolution, the fall of the Bastille, and the poetic voice of Camille Desmoulins, intertwining history and art with a sharp political resonance.
