Description
In one such work, the artist produced a beautiful Monad illustrated on rag paper. The monad is a philosophical vision without door or window of the artist. The illustrated monads are the reflection of the consumer society. It can be hung on the wall or placed on a console.
Presentation
born of a painter father and grandson of a founder, the fusion of the arts was inevitably to take place in him. And what about this surname which sounds like an aka! But his career was written somewhat differently, between coloring, rambling and folding. Antoine wants to go back to the source. No, he doesn't want to be skillful, he just wants to do, make. Crumple and smooth out. The fold is his toy, which he annoys, shakes, shakes. Yes, fun this experience. But doesn't his subconscious also express a need to take refuge in the cracks, the protective valleys? In his work, this Hercynian folding is overpowering. The very one at the origin of the formation of several European massifs including those of Germany and the Vosges. Antoine, man from the east, Alsatian kneaded by valleys, balloons and other mountainous formations ... By structuring, modeling, freezing his material in the fold, he relives the great upheavals of his prehistory, erosion, fractures, accidents, digging. His game is now tectonic, chthonian. The result is on the surface, but the base is in perpetual tension. He likes to talk about the chance of the fold, of the imminent moment when the chain is put in place. His philosophy, if there is one, is abysmal and his practice - artisanal - refutes plastic and pictorial eloquence. No, there is no commitment, no figurative and no abstract.
