Théo Castillon

What fascinates me about cityscape photography is capturing the very essence of a city like Paris.

Biography

Théo Castillon is a photographer who captures the very essence of urban landscapes.

Originally from Carcassonne, he moved to Paris in 2017, where the city's artistic richness fuels his inspiration. Fascinated by photography, he has developed a unique approach, blending the raw beauty of urban environments with a constant search for emotion and meaning.

After the lockdown, he trained in urban photography alongside Serge Ramelli, refining his style. His photographs draw their power from the soul of the capital, but they also reveal significant influences, such as those of Robert Doisneau and Henri Cartier-Bresson, two masters of capturing poetic and human moments.

The singularity of his work lies in his ability to reveal the hidden poetry of city streets, architecture, and lights. Armed with his Lumix GX9, he captures each scene with a precision and attention to detail that captivates the eye. His favorite technique, long exposure, allows him to sublimate the city's movements and capture the dance of lights in compositions that are both calm and dynamic. Each image then becomes an invitation to feel the stretching of time and the energy that flows through urban landscapes.

Since winter 2021, Théo has been exhibiting extensively, eager to share his unique vision of the city with a wide audience. Today, he develops collaborations with interior designers for high-end hotels and creates custom commissions for both businesses and individuals. He also collaborates with the connected frame brand Ionnyk and sells his photos as fine art prints on his website, in galleries, and in restaurants.

Alongside his artistic work, Théo Castillon is also a photographer and videographer for the Bestimage press agency. He covers current events in Paris, whether related to the world of celebrities, culture, or broader current affairs. His images, published in various media, demonstrate his keen eye and his ability to capture the moment with authenticity.

This approach reflects the constant evolution of his work, combining creativity and high standards, to address an ever wider and more varied audience.
