Edgar Stoëbel (1909–2001) was a renowned Polish-French artist celebrated for his unique contributions to the world of art, music, and philosophy. After relocating to Paris in 1950, Stoëbel became an integral part of the vibrant Montparnasse artistic community, working alongside prominent figures such as Marc Chagall, Joseph Prinner, Michonze, Goetz, and Zadkine. His artistic journey led him to develop the innovative "Figurasynthèse" technique, a dynamic fusion of abstraction and figurative elements. This distinctive approach, characterized by bold, colorful forms and a blend of fluidity and structure, allowed Stoëbel to express the complexity of the human experience and the depths of his imagination.

In 2024, Edgar Stoëbel's legacy was celebrated through several key exhibitions, showcasing the continued relevance of his work and his lasting impact on the art world. One notable event was the exhibition "Edgar Stoëbel, une vie artistique dans le 9ème", held at the Bibliothèque Louise Walser-Gaillard in Paris from November to December.
