Biography
Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of Sète, Flavien Couche is emerging as a promising figure in the contemporary art scene. His work, imbued with creative energy and freedom of expression, recalls the heyday of Figuration Libre and neo-surrealism while bringing a fresh, modern feel.
After studying visual communication and graduating in Fine Arts in 2005, he began exhibiting at various contemporary art fairs in Paris.
Inspired by Surrealism and German Expressionism, Flavien Couche uses color as a powerful tool to transcend emotion and sensualize forms. His paintings, characterized by refined, intertwined shapes, evoke a gentle explosion for the viewer's eye—a visual "big bang" that captivates and intrigues.
