Biography

Florence Venet is a typographer. Magnifying, revealing and enchanting words allows her to activate their healing power to nourish our benevolent humanity.

Since her early days, Florence has always worked passionately as a graphic designer. Trained as a typographer, she has been practising Latin calligraphy in Laurent Rébéna's studio (Calligraphis, Paris) since 2013. Her discovery of meditation (2004) and her learning of powerful body anchoring, her training in art and dance therapy (ARTEC, Paris, 2015), and her research on tolerance in spirituality (Emouna, l'amphi des religions, SciencesPo Paris, 2019) have opened up a vibrant and abundant inner world for her, giving her access to creation without 'orders'. Today, her creations reflect her quest for ever greater joy and peace.

The 'Liberté' series originates in an alphabet full of movement and lightness, drawn in coloured pencil and graphite pencil by the artist. The letters that form the word 'Liberté' are the building blocks of the series. Duplicated hundreds of times, the artist arranges them in a tableau on the computer, playing with size and transparency to immerse us in a celebration of the ever-moving force of life.
