Biography
Born in Nîmes, Jm Collell explored various mediums such as mosaic, painting and sculpture. More recently he has turned to portraiture. But not just any type of portrait: inspired by the technique of cross-hatch drawing, the features of his characters are recreated with such precision that one can see a realistic photograph appearing from a distance. This new production reveals the strengths and weaknesses of the individuals appearing in his paintings.
