Description
This impressive work presents a striking portrait of a woman whose piercing gaze dominates the composition. Achieved through a complex mesh, the artist creates a unique texture that plays on light and shadow, exalting the depth and mystery of the face. The strands of hair seem to blend into the frame, adding a captivating dynamic and a sense of movement. The monochrome of the work reinforces the emotional power, highlighting the delicate details of the facial features. The skillful fusion of abstraction and realism demonstrates exceptional technical mastery, inviting the viewer to prolonged contemplation. This juxtaposition of light and dark magnifies the intensity of the portrait, making this work a remarkable example of creativity and artistic technique.
It is possible to remove the white background at the back.
Presentation
Born in Nîmes, Jm Collell explored various mediums such as mosaic, painting and sculpture. More recently he has turned to portraiture. But not just any type of portrait: inspired by the technique of cross-hatch drawing, the features of his characters are recreated with such precision that one can see a realistic photograph appearing from a distance. This new production reveals the strengths and weaknesses of the individuals appearing in his paintings.
