Parscha Mirghawameddin is a contemporary German artist born in 1987 in Hanover, recognized for his work blending contemporary painting, gestural abstract expressionism, street art, and urban calligraphy. Coming from an Iranian family, he developed an early interest in drawing, typography, and the visual culture of large metropolises. He studied graphic design at the Fachhochschule Hannover (now Hochschule Hannover), a training that has permanently influenced his approach to composition, sign, and color. His path oscillates between artistic creation, design, and plastic experimentation, giving birth to a personal pictorial language where abstraction, writing, and urban culture meet.
Parscha Mirghawameddin's work is based on a research around gesture, material, and spontaneity. Working mainly with acrylic, ink, sprays, pigments, and mixed media on canvas, he creates works where layers of paint, calligraphic traces, dynamic lines, and colored blocks overlap. His compositions evoke the codes of graffiti, abstract expressionism, and lyrical abstraction, while developing a distinct identity based on the repetition of the sign, the energy of movement, and the balance between mastery and improvisation. The contrasts between zones of silence and chromatic explosions give his works a visual depth that invites free and intuitive reading.
Inspired by urban art, Eastern calligraphy, graphic design, and the major currents of 20th-century abstract painting, Parscha Mirghawameddin explores the notions of memory, identity, and communication. The letters, symbols, and fragments of writing present in his compositions do not seek to convey a literal message, but become autonomous plastic elements, participating in the rhythm and construction of the image. This fusion between writing and painting constitutes one of the major characteristics of his work.
Parscha Mirghawameddin's creations have been presented in numerous contemporary art galleries and at international fairs in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and several other European countries. His works are now in private collections in Europe, Asia, and North America. Through a visual language where abstraction, street art, calligraphy, gestural painting, contemporary art, color, material, and writing strongly dialogue, Parscha Mirghawameddin establishes himself as a recognized figure of the young European art scene.
