Pompilio Gianluca

“Art always arrives before me." Gianluca Pompilio was born in Rome in 1991. He is a self-taught artist and has collaborated with the Tobian Art Gallery since the beginning of 2023. Pompilio mixes watercolor with graphite or ink, resulting in a harmony between the different techniques. He prints his work on handmade paper, creating unique results embracing imperfections. He also creatively uses marble to demonstrate its use in new media, such as drawing, as opposed to sculpting or engraving.
