Biography

Elisha Nyong's surreal body of work is a terrene representation of his personal “Surrealist's manifesto" which he's developed throughout his time as a budding artist to  date. It encapsulates the surreal practice of André Breton, and the allusions of Salvador Dalí,and is fueled by the psychoanalytic of Freud.

His style is born of studies and research to better understand creativity by exploring abstract themes of an abstract world with physical consequences.

Artist statement :
Demystifying the mysteries of existentialism is the core of my art praxis; my technique rides stately on the back of free-spiritedness and countermanding superstitions and taboos of the society I was raised in.

The unique themes of my visual allegories are a clarion call to seek out, assimilate dimensions beyond the three-dimensional world...it is a letter, so long I've barely begun.
