Katerina Vorontsova

Katerina Vorontsova (b. 1984) is a contemporary artist whose minimalist visual language explores clarity, focus, and inner presence. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Tula State University in 2006 and spent years working in marketing, design, and psychology before returning to painting at the age of forty — a turning point that shaped her artistic identity and her pursuit of intentional simplicity.

Vorontsova creates works that function as quiet spaces within a world saturated with visual noise. Using acrylic and oil, she combines restrained composition with pure, resonant color, inviting viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. Her paintings evoke a sense of emotional stillness, where color and form speak directly, without distraction or excess.

Her exhibition history includes participation in Accidental Permanence, a project of the “Tula's Rhapsody" initiative organized in collaboration with the Tula Union of Artists and Art Group 6/57, shown in Ryazan, Novomoskovsk, and Tula. In 2025, her work was featured in the official Tula City Day Exhibition, and she continues her collaboration as a resident artist of Art Group 6/57. Her upcoming international exhibition, “Cats vs. Dogs: A Portrait of Devotion," will take place at Artseeker Gallery, New York.

Katerina's practice centers on creating spaces of awareness rather than decoration — artworks that serve as moments of reflection, grounding, and genuine presence.
