Cedric Xoual

France • 1970

Each creation is designed by hand, with an attention to detail that gives them a timeless and deeply emotional appearance.

Biography

Deeply nostalgic for the 80s and 90s, this artist revisits emblematic objects from his past to immortalize memories dear to his heart. With a refined and timeless style, he explores simple shapes: round like vinyl or Toad's head, and rectangular like audio cassettes, Nintendo cartridges or computer diskettes.

Each work is made by hand, with a knife, with modeling paste to create relief. After meticulous finishing work with a sander, he uses acrylic paint to bring his creations to life. Epoxy resin enhances the details, adding a touch of modernity to these objects full of nostalgia.
