Mariam Okribelashvili

Mariam Okribelashvili is a Georgian artist born in 2002 who lives and work in Tbilisi, Georgia. Art has always been a foundational part of her life, evolving into a deep and ever-growing passion that extends beyond painting into multiple forms of artistic expression. She was graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, Faculty of Painting. She used to explore themes of identity, personal history, collective memory, and the emotional landscapes of society through both painting and graphic work. Her artistic journey combines formal academic training with self-guided exploration. She has participated in several group exhibitions and collaborative projects. 

In 2024, she took part in the Erasmus exchange program, which allowed her to strengthen her skills and broaden her perspective by engaging with disciplines such as lithography, serigraphy, jewelry design, and interior design. These diverse influences continue to shape and enrich my creative approach. After completing my academic studies, she is currently studying Interior Design as well. This additional focus allows her to further explore the relationship between space, form, and visual storytelling, enriching her interdisciplinary artistic approach. Mariam creative practice's draws on childhood memories, past experiences, and cultural dynamics, aiming to provoke thought and invite viewers into a reflective dialogue. She strives to create work that resonates emotionally, forming connections that transcend the visual.
