Presentation
Coming from several generations of artists, painters, engravers, sculptors, cartoonist and architect, Den Guitto learned, from childhood, to handle colors and shapes in the studio of his mother, painter-sculptor.
He began studying architecture at the Beaux Arts in Paris, studied at ESAG and created his advertising agency.
After ten years of graphic design, his passions and his curiosity took him to Belle-Ile-en-mer then to South America where he settled. He divided his time there between his painting and the construction of a tourist boat for the Galapagos.
Back in France, he devoted himself entirely to creation and continued to discover the world and other cultures. His wife Niki reveals to him her passion, the secret India where they create together jewelry from her series "Signs and Men". Travel feeds his inspiration, it is for him a way to stay awake and aware, in tune with the world.
His work alternates between singular and contemporary writing where the forms no longer belong to anyone and speak to everyone, and large-format portraits with very tight framing whose intensity challenges, captivates and cannot leave indifferent. By this coming and going between abstract and figurative, Den Guitto brings us face to face with the other, with ourselves.
