Le 9e Concept is an artist collective founded by Stéphane Carricondo, Jerk 45 and Ned in 1990 – all of them interested in making art accessible to a wider public. In pursuing this goal, they combined studio work with residencies and commissions. As their work brought them into contact with others, the group grew, and now has 15 artists. Le 9e Concept also collaborates with musicians, DJs, photographers and video artists.
The collective's activity comprises two aspects: on the one hand, Le 9e Concept develops artistic projects (shows, installations - solo or group) in France and abroad; on the other hand, the collective collaborates with certain brands as a producer of designs, live perfomances, concepts (temporary tattoos, serigraphy etc.)for brands such as Desperados, Puma, Canal+, Printemps, Burn, Mairie de Paris, Mercedes, etc.
