Philippe Bour

Translation in progress

Artist influenced by contemporary art and tawny movement for its colors. Basquiat, N. de Stael, Vlaminck. Philippe does graphic work using acrylic on canvas. His pictorial work is a sort of summary of the perception of the world that comes from it, in the form of a synthesis of heterogeneous influences: the Japanese tradition of ukiyo-e, baroque music and probably Hayao's universe. Miyazaki ... among others.

This work must be considered for what it is: an incomplete and inconsistent view of an ephemeral moment. Philippe directs his pictorial research on color and light by transcribing his imagination and the colorful intensity emitted by the screens that surround us constantly. It is in the footsteps of the Surrealists. His paintings take us into an enigmatic world on the edge of loneliness. A world where the dialogue between the body and the soul becomes more perceptible...

This affirmed design, in the neighborhood of organic sculpture, and these amazing colors excite our imagination. It is thanks to this personal writing that Philippe manages to transport us to a surprising poetry of the soul. This is the unique intensity of his painting.
