Born in 1969, Isabelle Manoukian graduated in BTS Textile Printing at the Olivier de Serres School of Applied Arts. She continues her pictorial approach while following the Ateliers Beaux-arts de Montparnasse and Glacière. In 2002, she obtained a DEA in Plastic Arts in Paris 8. It was in 2004 that she discovered the Persian miniature, which she studied for 5 years with Abbâs Moayeri. This approach to colors combining the precision of the line will then strongly influence his personal approach. From this training will be born "Little Star", a series of plates (gouache-watercolor) on the signs of the zodiac, allegory of birth. On August 1, 2009, Isabelle decided to adopt Scheherazade's modus operandi, heroine of the Thousand and One Nights, by making one drawing per day for 1001 days. At the same time, she developed a series of canvases (acrylic) inspired by the parquet floors of the Louvre, staging her loved ones while revisiting the major religious subjects.
