Mischa Keijser

Born in 1974 - Netherlands

Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands in 1974, Misha Keijser is a photographer.

She studied at the School of Fine Arts of St. Joost in Breda where she obtained a Bachelors and a Masters degree.

Very attached to her country, the artist seeks to explore the relationship between the Dutch and the nature that surrounds them in her photographs of landscapes. Nature, according to Mischa Keijser, is an environment devoid of all man or civilization's impact. She focuses on the forces and arrangements that compose a neutral or blank space.

In her collection " Subjectivity", she places the photographs in pairs. One is taken after the other but always in the same place. Sometimes within a few minutes separating the two shootings, sometimes several hours, but always taken in the same 24 hours.

Mischa Keijser's photographs are done with great sophistication and meticulousness .The lines of force give the image all its power. The framework is clear and the subject is centered. It remains horizontal and it is not conceivable to break this balance. Nature is seen in its purest state, it is a tribute to it. We can feel the energies that emerge from it, which the photographer focuses on. It is a zenithal light that gives life to the composition and that attract us like a moth.
