Biography
Anne Berry grew up in Atlanta, spending vacations and summers at Lake Burton in Rabun Co., on the Flint River in Sumter Co., and on the Georgia and South Carolina barrier islands.
The appreciation for places unspoiled by development is central to the artist's vision. Also essential to Anne Berry is an appreciation for animals. She photographs animals to get people to truly look at them, to hear their inner sound, and to consider their value and their place in the world. She is interested in instigating photography projects that assist conservation and animal causes.
She has supported non profit organizations in three ways: by making a photo book for them to use as they wish, by licensing images at no cost, and by producing awareness raising gallery exhibits.
