The "Espaces muséaux" series gives Muriel Bordier’s critical, funny and often satirical vision of Contemporary Art, and more precisely on its staging in the exhibition spaces. She points out these areas called "White cube". We discover this museum environment by the exaggeration of the characteristics of uncluttered, spotless, sanitized architecture made of immense spaces in which the public is deliberately reduced, making these places almost inhuman.
Art is no longer the exhibited pieces, but rather the hanging place and its architecture itself.

In this staging, we meet all the characters making museum’s life: public, exhibition curator, guards and also technicians who maintain these places.
In this series, Muriel Bordier photographs architectural maquettes in cardboard she first produced. She brings models individually into her studio and photographs them in predetermined poses. Finally, she installs each photograph of her characters one by one into the decor.
