Presentation

Me, it's Maximilien Diaz.

When I was little, curious about everything and with eyes full of stars, I spent my time imagining adventures with my beloved legos. Growing up, I put aside my Legos to create stories using my camera first, then my video camera.

How did I start?

A bit by chance, at a time in my life when I was not happy. November 2018, my life is falling apart. Weakened by a difficult break up a few weeks earlier and a professional future in which I did not recognize myself, the suicide of a loved one has turned my life upside down. I fall into depression. Affected emotionally, impacted artistically, I took a look at my existence and my vision of life... “Move yourself! There is always time! Go after your desires! ". I bought a camera. I was born a second time.

I questioned myself and decided to listen to my heart.

Leaving my future commercial career behind me, I left my city of Toulouse and launched myself into my passion, “art” by joining a film school in Paris, ESRA.

During this period, I reworked the aesthetics of my photographic images, I developed complex projects, bigger and bigger. I refined my look at my artistic evolution, to end up with a fantastic universe, mixing yoga, nudity, urban landscape and vintage aesthetics.

This photographic evolution has allowed me to win prizes, including the national prize at Sony World Photography 2021 with my photo “Espoir”.

These experiences taught me a lot.

My goal is simple, to share my vision of life with as many people as possible. Having the opportunity to share a moment of life, for a moment with a spectator.
