After several years of studying at the School of Fine Arts in Caen, Laure Julien produces very personal work with unrelenting drive. She continues her artistic research in painting on large formats, where her creative and feverish enthusiasm unfolds. This artist leads, with particular determination, an experiment which is abstract more often than not.
She adds rhythm to movements through colours that are smooth at times, rough at others, yet always harmonised, and blends that effectively express her state ofexempt mind. Laure Julien does not indulge in sentimentality: she assumes and assures the brilliance of her compositions thanks to her bold analysis, which is nevertheless not exempt from a deep sensuality, instinctively leading her to a natural style that is coherent, enterprising and joyful, yet also judicious in its approach.
