Biography
Costanzo Mongini (1918-1981) was a painter and sculptor. His sculptures, some of them large, his paintings, drawings and embossments, are almost an anthology for the multiplicity of subjects, characterized, above all, by their impetus and movement. His works express an aggressive immediacy of language, the emotion of attitudes captured in the moment of a sentimental expression, of a movement in progress. The peculiarity of Mongini's sculptures is that they seem alive.
