Vincent Carpentier

After having been a sales engineer from 1987 to 1992, notably in Egypt, I have been a mathematics teacher since 1993. Today, thanks to a part-time job, I have more time to devote to my graphic work.

Photography is the basis of this work. I have been practicing it as an amateur since adolescence. There are the images that my camera gives me and those that I keep in mind. When they are sufficiently in adequacy, I like to specify them by a work of colorimetric retouching and cropping.

Along with this strictly photographic work, thanks to the advent and constant progress of digital technology, I gradually undertook a more graphic work where I intervene on photographic images, by mixtures and successive layers before and after printing on canvas. , by mixing different techniques, to bring out little by little these interior images which are associated in memory with sensations, emotions, encounters, fruits of distant or interior journeys.
