Sylvie Vanlerberghe

Sylvie Vanlerberghe has been drawing portraits since adolescence. She later learned the techniques of watercolour, pastel and engraving in various workshops, but it was her meeting with Philippe Lejeune, founder of the Ecole du Portrait in Etampes, that was decisive and inspired her. adopted oil painting, his favorite medium.

She regularly participates in painting fairs in France, the USA and Belgium, and has been awarded several times (silver medal at the Salon des Artistes français at the Grand Palais in Paris, 1st prize for painting at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Chaville, public prize in Dourdan, Marin prize for young contemporary painting in Bourg-La-Reine...)

She produced the portrait of Carlotta (Marion Cotillard) for Arnaud Desplechin's film The Ghosts of Ismaël, in 2017, as well as the portrait of Philippe Caubère for the poster of his show Lettres de mon moulin in 2021.

His portraits and intimate paintings decorate the walls of many individuals in France and around the world and are exhibited in galleries in the provinces and in Paris.

A member of the Taylor Foundation, she currently resides in Yvelines, near Paris.
