Sylvie Vanlerberghe has been drawing portraits since adolescence. She later learned the techniques of watercolour, pastel and engraving in various workshops, but it was her meeting with Philippe Lejeune, founder of the Ecole du Portrait in Etampes, that was decisive and inspired her. adopted oil painting, his favorite medium.

She produced the portrait of Carlotta (Marion Cotillard) for Arnaud Desplechin's film The Ghosts of Ismaël, in 2017, as well as the portrait of Philippe Caubère for the poster of his show Lettres de mon moulin in 2021.
His portraits and intimate paintings decorate the walls of many individuals in France and around the world and are exhibited in galleries in the provinces and in Paris.
A member of the Taylor Foundation, she currently resides in Yvelines, near Paris.
