Curious and nomadic, Aurélie Andrès' artistic and ecological approach is part of a long-term, itinerant and collaborative project.
Biography
Born in 1990, Aurélie ANDRÈS trained in Lille in design and fashion. There she learned embroidery, weaving, printing and dyeing techniques, and began her career at Swildens and Leon & Harper as a textile designer. After an experience in New York and then in India, she opened her design studio in 2015.
And it was in 2018 that she discovered mural painting during a trip to Morocco where she painted her first fresco in a school in the middle of the desert. This "large format" experience marked the beginning of her career as a mural painter and new associative adventures.
Curious and nomadic, her artistic and ecological approach is part of a long-term, itinerant and collaborative project. Through it, she explores the role of cultural biases on the different ways of understanding nature, the environment and more generally, the Other.
