Jean-Pierre Blanchard was born on 28th Jun, 1947 in Ingrandes.
Jean-Pierre Blanchard has been immersed in a creative universe since his childhood, due to his encounter with his neighbor Henry de Monfreid. Between 1962 and 1967, he studied at Beaux-Arts Paris, where he worked a lot with the painter, Georges Goas.
Jean-Pierre was always very attracted by the world of cinema, he assisted the filmmaker Jean-Paul Delouche while he was shooting the movie on volcanoes in 1969. This is when the artist realized that he wants his material to live, the one boiling in the Stromboli crater.
The artist uses conventional techniques and academic drawings, his creations are a combination of materiality, movement and light. Jean-Pierre Blanchard is a true creator and looks for art everywhere, may that be aesthetic or not.
This very diversified practice of Jean-Pierre Blanchard doesn't confine him to only one sector but to many others like staging, entertainment, animation. The artist is internationally well-known due to his pictorial representations, on the T.V and famous cabarets all around Europe.
After having been the creation director in a well-known communication and events planning agency, Jean-Pierre Blanchard is a reference today in the world of Speed-painting, unanimously recognized by the world of art.
