Presentation
From the age of 16, he attended a graphic design school, the Kunstgewerbeschule, which led him, at the end of his studies, to the profession of independent illustrator and cartoonist. He takes part in numerous exhibitions and accumulates no less than 11 group exhibitions, from Berlin to Paris, via Geneva or Angoulême, during the international comic strip festival. Four exhibitions were entirely devoted to him between 1986 and 1996, including one at the Papier Gras gallery in Geneva.
His unique scratching technique with a cutter on a black scratch card allows him to sublimate the contrasts between black and white; pointing out at several events where he is awarded prizes. In 1985, he thus obtained the Sierre comic book competition prize; the Federal Prize for Applied Arts three times between 1986 and 1993, as well as the prize of the city of Zurich and the Max und Moritz rewarding a creator of comics in German, in 1991 and 1996. He also publishes in numerous magazines, Swiss and foreign fanzines and daily newspapers.
He produced two cartoons: La grande Illusion, in 1985, at the GDS studio in Geneva, then Robert Creep, a dogs life in 1992 with La Fabrique, in co-production with Arte and Canal +. In 2018, published by Éditions Louis Vuitton, Travel Book Route 66.
