Presentation
Christian Bozon was born in Lons-le-Saunier, France in 1969. From 1986 he trained at the Art School of Besancon and receives his diploma in 1987. He visits the studios of George Oudut and Jean-Marc Scanreigh. He starts engraving in 1987 in his home town.
In 1993-1994 he organizes an engraving studio at the French Cultural Centre in Tetouan, Morocco, thus fulfilling a childhood dream to live in the south. His dream endures, he learns to speak Spanish; his art from now on will express a warmth of the Andalusia and Africa.
A printer of line-engraving Christian Bozon manipulates colors with dexterity. The artist constructs his compositions with utmost rigor; the refined tones that he uses are subtle and unusual. His art is often made with warm colors that are softly balanced between abstraction and imaginary figures. In the domain of graphic art his principle means of expression are aquatint and dull varnish, these techniques are often used in the same work. Bozon equally uses dry-pointing or a black style. He does not use etching as a technique as he judges that it does not correspond to his personality.

His work has been awarded numerous prizes in France and Spain. Bozon remains an artist of color and light.
