The Atelier RLD has been founded in 1973 in Paris by Robert and Lydie Dutrou and has collaborated with artistes like Miró, Chillida, Tapiès, Alechinsky, Miotte, Seguí, Sugaï, Papart, Ionesco, Tardieu, Mandiargues, Butor and Perec, to produce prints and artists’s books during almost forty years. In 1985, Robert and Lydie Dutrou have opened a second atelier in Bourgogne, where they have installed various printing presses. MoMA considers Anular, produced by Antonio Tapiès at Atelier RLD in 1981, one of the fifty more precious artists’ books in the world.
