Nicolas Barrome Forgues

Nicolas Barrome Forgues was born in Saint Jean de Luz in 1980.

He grew up in the Basque country and made his first artistic steps in the School of Applied Arts in Bordeaux. Then Troyes, before embarking on illustration and creating with his friends the Jeanspezial and Jeanclode collectives.

He first painted on the walls with his friends, his images evolved rapidly lead by the discovery of new techniques, including etching, which had a real impact on the way he produced images. Passionate about cinema and staging, obsessed with wefts and textures, his universe is rich and detailed, his images are often complex including several levels of reading.
