France • 1994

Through fluid forms he instills a simple elegance and the poetry of life.

Biography

Clément Covizzi was born in Châtel-Saint-Denis (Switzerland) in 1994.

He spent his childhood between French-speaking Switzerland and Haute-Savoie, where he lives today.

His parents instilled in him a love of the nature that surrounded them. Nourished by this alpine environment, he developed a constantly renewed curiosity and creativity.

He then pursued a course in graphic design and later web design, a profession he has practiced for ten years. This was an opportunity to master techniques and various implementation media.

At the same time, his mother, a potter, introduced him to the art of clay, particularly the raku technique. This firing process followed by a thermal shock allows for the production of unique pieces with a crackled effect.

Beyond the ancestral technique from Asia, raku allows Clément to create unique animal sculptures. He plays with color and rendering. His universe is currently populated by wild animals from the four corners of the earth.

Through fluid forms he instills a simple elegance and the poetry of life.
