When an engineer becomes a painter, color becomes a language. Luc Mora has created a vibrant and unexpected artistic renaissance
Born in the Landes region of France, Luc Mora initially pursued a scientific path that led him to a career as a nuclear engineer. For over twenty years, he worked in a world where precision, rigor, and technical mastery were essential. At 55, he made a decisive change: he left engineering to devote himself fully to painting, revealing a long-suppressed passion. A self-taught artist, he first explored watercolor and Impressionism before moving towards a freer, more intuitive, and emotional form of expression.
His work is structured around three pillars: Expressionism, Colour, and Emotion. Colour is at the heart of his approach, driving his gesture and conveying his pictorial language. Her vibrant and dynamic works blend abstraction, gestural energy, and intense chromatic dialogues. Each canvas becomes a space for exploration where intuition, sensitivity, and inner searching converge.
Born into a family of artists—a painter father and a stylist mother—Luc Mora grew up in a creative environment that shaped his vision and nurtured his imagination. Since his debut, he has exhibited internationally, notably in Barcelona, Zurich, London, and Paris, where his work has resonated with an audience appreciative of the expressive power of his palette.
His ambition is simple: to share a vision where color becomes a universal language and to invite everyone to express their own emotions in front of the canvas. Through his unconventional journey, Luc Mora affirms that creation can emerge at any moment in life, provided one is willing to follow the path of intuition and emotion.
