Alexandre Moulis

Every morning, Alexandre Moulis goes to work with his left pocket filled with a sheaf of blank papers which passes throughout the day, enriched with sketches, into the other pocket.

A railway drafting engineer in Toulouse, he is also an urban landscape painter and watercolorist.

His rapid notation technique reveals the fragile and ephemeral nature of the scenes he captures. In all his poetry, Alexandre's subtle line reveals the deep nature of his personality, that of an artist capable of seeing beauty in the prosaism of everyday life.

Today, the work of Alexandre Moulis is present in the collections of the Musée du Vieux-Toulouse and the Musée des Augustins but is not exhibited to the public. His work therefore remains to be rediscovered.
