Presentation

My work tries to signify the Course of Wind, his distance covered, his crossing, travel ; a poetic metaphor to talk about the Cycle of Life and the Inner Breath. Time, intimately related to the Wind, is expressed by the repetition of forms, which emphasize the importance of Memory, Experience and Transmission. The Repetition of the forms marks a rhythm and defines sequences, the sequences of Life. The fragility of Existence is described by hanging my sculptures, between the Earth and the Sky, like clung to the string of Life. The movement is implicit and forces the eye to go "back and forth" and therefore to constant questioning.

My installations often have the fragility of bodies in suspension and seem to belong to the transient. I try to disturb the perception, to give the feeling of a world in transformation. The conception of my work is part of the force of the passage, of what must be captured with intensity.

Our continuous flow of consciousness is a perpetual alternation between two antinomic states: attention to the outside world and inner reverie. To implement this sway and represent our brief passage on the scale of the universe, the wind accompanies me. It symbolizes movement, passage; it is a poetic metaphor for talking about the cycle of life and the inner breath. The fluidity of this element is for me an ideal representation of the world.

My material is structured with threads winding a metal core itself made of many threads. From the start of the process, it induces a multiplication of networks and undermines an allegory of the link. The strange singularity of the aluminum fibrils creates plays of shadow and light which mingle, and merge. In this reciprocity, the paradoxical facets of our behavior are revealed.

The interlacing of threads produce voids and solids borrowed from the lace register, when the rings become more structured, they resemble the lexicon of stained glass. These mesh networks induce the penetration of the gaze, and this overstepping of the structural limit prolongs the experience of passage.
