Heike Bohnstengel

The cinematographic quality and extreme weather of the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan desert has inspired the collection Desert Diary. It often feels familiar, like a place you know, but have only seen in a movie. I have travelled these deserts for many years, and no road trip or landscape ever feel the same because of the constantly changing light and shapes of the desert.
