Artwork location: France

This vibrant painting features a young woman wearing a flamboyant red dress, contrasting sharply with an abstract background of black and blue. The dress's bold texture, embellished with swirling patterns, immediately captures attention, while the woman's pensive gaze adds contemplative depth to the composition. The vibrant red and electric blue blend in striking contrast, reinforcing the central figure's powerful presence. The dynamic brushstrokes and bold use of color give the work a palpable energy. This combination of chromatic intensity and figurative detail is a testament to the artist's technical skill and offers an unforgettable viewing experience.

Presentation

Sylvie JULKOWSKI-EGARD is essentially inspired by her environment, which is why she works in series on recurring subjects.

In the series "MY PETITES NANAS" the painter draws inspiration from situations she observes in society or in her entourage to deliver a personal interpretation (the break with "an ordinary earthquake", the rivalry in "The Chosen One" , Good and Evil in "Alter Ego", "L'emprise", etc...)

She works in collaboration with her daughter who serves as her model to create scenes that will support her works. She sometimes uses a few symbols that will serve as reading keys.

She uses all sorts of tools, brushes, spalters to express herself and a nuanced color palette. In her genre scenes she particularly develops the expression of the subject, the gaze, reflection of the soul, while the environment is painted in a more energetic way.

The series on "URBAN LANDSCAPES" allows the painter to approach a season that she likes for its shadows and its dazzling colors, summer.

She is mainly inspired by Paris, the city of light where she spends part of the year. Recently, she has focused on the human being in the city and she captures fleeting moments ("Urban Vibrations", "Convergence",...), small everyday moments (café terraces), with sometimes particular framing (“A summer break”).

She uses bright colors and all kinds of tools according to her favorite technique to make the subject vibrate.

"REFLECTIONS ON PASSING TIME": The painter has chosen to represent transport vehicles in the manner of the Vanities of yesteryear, that is to say by representing the wear and tear of time, rust, holes, dilapidation . She also favors a particular framing, bringing the object out of the limits of the painting to make it more imposing. Just like us, these vehicles are just passing by, the passage of time being inevitable. She paints vehicles with round, sensual shapes, in bright colors.

“THE PORTRAITS”: since around 2021, she has focused her work on what has always fascinated her, the human being. She paints in particular portraits where she focuses on the expression of people and gives free rein to her creativity by imagining clothes, hairstyles, accessories, etc... She uses all kinds of tools to translate what she feels. . She also uses thick or extremely diluted oil paint indiscriminately. The artwork is sketched out in peripheral areas while the model's expression or focal point is treated more precisely and neatly.
