Collision #2 evokes the 6th continent, these new "lands" made up of waste that inexorably accumulates within our maritime environment.
The title of this work prophesies the shock that awaits us when the waste is no longer manageable and it is too late.
The artist reminds us that we have already entered the Anthropocene era, that phase of our civilization where the impact of humanity surpasses the capacity of nature to regenerate itself.

A multidisciplinary visual artist, Mathieu Lucas gradually reveals himself through three-dimensional works, where he achieves a perfect synthesis between sculpture and painting.
The artist tames, masters and combines numerous techniques to the rhythm of his productions.
One of the roles of art is to make us see differently. Mathieu Lucas does this because through a miniature scale game, he enjoys awakening our child's soul by illustrating his vision from a new angle. This proposal of a view from above is a way for the artist to make us bear witness to the scene and to make us small, facing the world that we leave to future generations.
Its entire aesthetic is based on narrative poetry brought by large breathing spaces, thus plunging the viewer into a contemplative state close to meditation. The softness of the image contrasts with the brutality of the message.
