Description
This captivating work is distinguished by its bold use of intense blue tones. At the center of the composition, a damaged boat triggers an oil spill. Fish swim across the painting, passing underneath the boat and turning black.
A work that is both alarmist and full of subtle hope with a touch of humor, several scenarios are possible. Between the indelible human trace left on nature, but also a possible evocation of the birth of the orcas, everyone brings their own reading grid in this scene, powerful in its colors and moving in its scenario.
Presentation
A multidisciplinary visual artist, Mathieu Lucas gradually reveals himself through three-dimensional works, where he achieves a perfect synthesis between sculpture and painting.
The artist tames, masters and combines numerous techniques to the rhythm of his productions.
One of the roles of art is to make us see differently. Mathieu Lucas does this because through a miniature scale game, he enjoys awakening our child's soul by illustrating his vision from a new angle. This proposal of a view from above is a way for the artist to make us bear witness to the scene and to make us small, facing the world that we leave to future generations.
Its entire aesthetic is based on narrative poetry brought by large breathing spaces, thus plunging the viewer into a contemplative state close to meditation. The softness of the image contrasts with the brutality of the message.
