Gencho Nakev

Gencho Nakev is a Bulgarian painter working mainly in the field of abstract art. Born in 1962 in Bulgaria, he takes his high school education in Specialized Secondary School of Fine Arts Acad. Dechko Uzunov in Kazanlak. Later graduated from the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Faculty of Fine Arts, in specialty Painting.

Since 1995 he has been teaching drawing in Drawing and Modelling Department at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia (Bulgaria). Associate Professor since 2011. Member of the Union of the Bulgarian Artists since 1992, and through UBA to AIAP of UNESCO. Lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria.

His artworks are possessed by galleries in Bulgaria (Sofia, Pleven, Gabrovo, Vidin, Blagoevgrad, and Dobrich), and private collectors in Germany, France, Czech Republic, Russia, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, and Turkey.
