Biography

Veks Van Hillik was born in 1988 in a small village in the Southwest of France, he currently lives and works in Toulouse.

He is passionate about drawing since a young age and his first source of inspiration is the nature that surrounds him, the fauna and flora.

Inspired by the work of Gustave Doré, Ingres, Caravage, Dali and Breton, Veks Van Hilik found his personal style, strongly influenced by pop culture, video games, comics, street art and tattoos.

He paints and draws scenes and personages directly from his imagination, in a subtle combination of candor and blackness.

His work has been exhibited in numerous expositions in France and abroad, particularly in Italy, In Brooklyn, United States and in Melbourne, Australia.
