Angelo Garbo

Born in Sicily in 1965, Angelo Garbo has double nationality Italian and Swiss. He was passionated about drawing and fine arts, from an early age.

Self-taught, at first he tried to find himself in simple figurative painting and then joined contemporary art, thanks to the discovery of mixed techniques, collage and acrylic paint. This discovery allowed him to gain fluency and spontaneity.

We can note the influence of pop art and street art in his paintings, however his self-creation process took several years to get personalized and to be able to achieve his own artistic approach. In his extraordinary pictorial world, created by his passion for cinema and cartoons, the artist transmits emotions thanks to his sharp sense of the use of color and to his sensibility.

His paintings are in fact tributes to icons of cinema (Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, etc), musicians (Bob Marley, Elvis Presley) and super heroes.
