Barbara Galinska is one of the most versatile and renowned calligraphers in Poland.
Biography
By profession, she is an architect. However, after working in an architectural firm, she decided to use her artistic skills in a more creative way. She worked on animations and cartoon sets, was an illustrator and graphic designer for many years. She has always been interested in the art of calligraphy, which she incorporated into her projects at every opportunity.
No other work has aroused such interest and had such a reach as STOP WAR. There has already been a mural in Brooklyn, another will be made in Switzerland. Her posters were present at the FOA National March for Palestine. Children from the charity CISV (Children International Summer Village) in Italy wear T-shirts with this graphic motif. There was even a 77-meter STOP WAR inscription on Bridlington South Beach in England. Posters and stickers can be seen on the streets of many cities in Europe and America. In Warsaw, on the anniversary of the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the graphic was displayed in large format on the wall of the cultural center, and a two-meter-high Stop War stands in the middle of the greenery. His calligraphic works have already been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including in Poland, but also in France, Italy, Mexico, the United States, Ukraine, Russia, Romania and India.
