Joseph Piermatteo

Joseph Piermatteo is a painter born in 1963 in Italy, a country that does not cease to inspire his paintings.

Piermatteo has constructed a universe of his own along his artistic career, borrowing from poetry and candor. Lights and colors play a main role in his work. Warm and bright colors resembling his native country, they give joyful emotion to his paintings. As he says it himself: "Each sensation corresponds to a particular light".
Having his own pictorial language, Piermatteo paints harlequins, fairies, starry nights, musicians and many other familiar things that touch the hearts of the spectators.

His creations are exhibited all around the world in numerous galleries as well as in private and public collections.
