Presentation
Sophie Barut is a contemporary French sculptor. She makes bronzes using the “lost wax” technique, in partnership with the Adobati foundry (Drôme). His work frequently explores subjects such as fragility, childhood, balance in life, disability, the vital force hidden deep within everyone, the beauty of friendship and love. She defines herself as the sculptor of fragility, considering that her artistic fragility is essential in this world where omnipotence reigns.
Sophie Barut was born in 1972, in France, where she obtained her Diploma of Applied Arts from the city of Lyon; Interior architecture diploma from the Lyon School of Applied Arts and Sculpture course completed with Lyon sculptor Marc Saint Pierre.
