Biography
Laurent Maëro is a creator of emotions. His sensual and generous lace sculptures awaken the senses of the viewer. After having followed a complete technical training in the mastery of materials, he understands the material with ease. Passionate about art since childhood, Maëro completed his training with a license in applied arts allowing him to expand his culture and thus give birth to his first inspirations. Pompom and its clean lines or Remington and Russel for the art of movement are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the artist. It transcends stainless steel to express movements and curves which are linked together in harmony. He transforms metal, a cold and rigid material, into real sculptures with warm and poetic themes. The principle becomes the figure of the moment. Time is suspended like a photo with all the lightness that can be expressed by a balloon or a fabric exposed to the wind. Laurent Maëro has the ability to make us forget the material to achieve the essential: expression and movement. Represented by Estelle Féraud, Toulouseart gallery.
